Meet the Doc

Dr. Jordan Brown was born and raised here in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. From an early age, he developed a passion for basketball. He attended St. James Elementary, St. James Middle, and St. James High School, where his dedication and talent on the court earned him a varsity letter in basketball for three years.
After graduating high school, Dr. Brown embarked on a two-year service mission for his church in South Korea. Dr. Brown learned during this time that service is often less about “fixing” and more about listening, loving, and lifting others in simple ways. Dr. Brown developed a passion for Korean food, culture, and language.

Upon returning to the United States, Dr. Brown pursued his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University. While there, he met the love of his life, Kaitlyn, and the two were married in 2010, and began to build their family.
Dr. Brown’s dental education began at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where he attended four years of dental school. His time there was marked not only by rigorous study and skill development but also by leadership and service. He served as president of the school’s chapter of the Academy of General Dentistry and volunteered regularly at the ECCO Clinic in Mount Pleasant, providing care to underserved members of the community.

During this period, he also completed three dental service missions to the Philippines, where he helped relieve dental pain for those in impoverished areas—an experience he describes as both humbling and rewarding. Experiencing life in a different culture helped him see the world through new eyes, and develop a new level of gratitude. He made sure to set aside time to play ball with the locals!
After dental school, Dr. Brown was accepted into the prestigious General Practice Residency program at the University of Utah. There, he received advanced training under the guidance of oral surgeons, periodontists, endodontists, cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and pulmonary specialists. He even had the opportunity to take a rotation as the on call dentist for the Utah Jazz! The comprehensive training of residency gave him the necessary tools to provide dentistry with a whole-body approach. During this time he also completed extensive dental implant training at the WhiteCap Institute in Heber City, UT.

Following residency, Dr. Brown returned with his family to his hometown of Murrells Inlet to serve the community that shaped him. He acquired a small practice off Wachesaw Road—Lowcountry Family Dentistry—and, together with his family, worked diligently to grow it through word-of-mouth referrals and positive patient experiences.
Dr. Brown remains committed to continual growth, both professionally and in his family life, with the ultimate goal of building lasting relationships with those he serves.
Today, Dr. Brown loves spending time with his family, traveling, music and, of course, playing and coaching basketball whenever he gets the chance.
